Serving Cary

Cary sits on gravel, and every faucet in town carries the proof

Happy Maids has cleaned houses in Cary — ZIP 60013 — since 1985, from our office in Lake Barrington. The fact we plan around is published by the town itself: the Village of Cary draws its water from nine municipal wells and states the hardness as 24 to 27 grains, attributing it to the gravel in the soil. The village does not soften it, so what the well gives is what arrives at the fixture. That is the white film back on shower glass within days of a wipe-down; it comes off a layer at a time over several visits, never with anything harsh enough to etch the glass. The same water carries iron at 0.18 ppm and manganese at 18 ppb, which is the orange-brown ring at the toilet waterline. Scale is white and iron stain is not, so a Cary bathroom often has both.

That gravel is not an abstraction: 22-acre Lake Atwood in The Hollows is a flooded gravel pit. The median house here was built in 1985, and Cary Country Club describes the terrain as rolling hills with dramatic elevation changes. So much of the stock is split-levels, tri-levels and walkouts: more floors, more stairs and more bathrooms than a flat-lot suburb. The older half, around Bright Oaks and Fox Trails, still has original fiberglass and cultured-marble tub surrounds and forty years of grout drinking minerals. The newer half has large glass enclosures, granite and stainless, which show film fastest and forgive it least.

Not every 60013 address is on that system: Trout Valley, Oakwood Hills and unincorporated Cary sit outside village limits on private wells, so what builds on porcelain there runs rust-orange rather than white — same library and same Cary-Grove community, different bathroom job. Then the season: the village salts 77 miles of street with a brine blend that includes beet juice, which stains whatever it is tracked onto, so entry tile, grout and hardwood get real attention from November through March.

Why Cary homeowners choose us

Peace of mind, not just a clean house

It comes down to what we carry through your door. With 24-grain well water on the glass, beet-brine salt at the door from November, and a house shut tight all winter, that is the difference between looking clean and breathing clean.

Non-toxic green products

Safe for kids, pets and allergy-sensitive homes — on every visit, not an upgrade you have to ask for. If a surface in your house needs something specific, tell us before the first clean and it stays on your file.

Sealed-HEPA SEBO vacuums

German-built commercial machines with allergy-grade filtration. They pull fine dust, dander and pollen out of carpet and hard floors instead of firing it back into the room.

Color-coded microfiber

A cloth used in a bathroom never touches a kitchen counter. The colors are the system, so nothing has to be remembered on the day — and nothing travels between rooms.

Straightforward pricing

How much does house cleaning cost in Cary?

Happy Maids prices recurring cleaning in Cary at a flat, predictable rate built on square footage, bath count, and the home’s current condition — a two-bath house on one level and a four-bedroom tri-level with a finished walkout in Bright Oaks should not pay the same number, and we do not pretend they do. One-time deep and move-in/move-out cleans are quoted by the time they honestly take.

Run the quick quote for a price range, then call us for your exact estimate, free and with no obligation. First visits on a house that has been a while often start with a deep clean, and we say so up front rather than after.

  • Home size & baths — the two biggest levers on the price.
  • How often we come — recurring visits lower the per-clean rate.
  • Add-ons — inside oven or fridge, interior windows, and more, on request.

You do not have to have the whole house cleaned. Plenty of Cary clients have us clean only the rooms they use, alternate floors between visits, or skip tasks they handle themselves. See what you can change in a cleaning plan, or call and we will build one around your home.

Cary questions, answered

Feel confident before your first clean.

Clear expectations make it easier to welcome a new team into your home.

Cary water is 24 to 27 grains hard. Can you get the mineral film off my shower glass?

Usually yes, but not in one visit. We work mineral film down with standard supplies, and on a Cary enclosure it releases a layer at a time across several cleanings. We will not use anything harsh enough to etch the glass, because that damage cannot be undone. Once the glass is clear, a regular schedule is what keeps it clear.

Why not use something stronger and finish it in one visit?

Because the products that strip heavy mineral film in a single pass also etch glass, dull a glazed tile and pit chrome. We do not carry anything that aggressive and would not use it in a Cary bathroom if we did. Patient work over several visits leaves you with clear glass; the fast version leaves you with permanently marked glass.

We are in Trout Valley on a private well. Is that a different job than a house inside the village?

Yes, and iron is usually the reason. Trout Valley, Oakwood Hills and unincorporated Cary all draw from private wells with no municipal treatment, so what builds up on porcelain there tends to run rust-orange rather than the white scale you get inside village limits. We plan the bathroom time around what your well is depositing rather than assuming every Cary house is the same.

Every winter the entry tile goes dark from road salt. Can you get that up?

Yes, and it is worth naming as a Cary problem rather than ordinary dirt. The village treats 77 miles of street with salt and a brine blend that includes beet juice — effective on ice, and it stains what it is tracked onto. We give entry tile, grout and hardwood real attention from November through March, and sealed-HEPA SEBO vacuums pull the grit out instead of pushing it back into the room.

Do you bring cleaning supplies?

Yes — products, cloths and sealed-HEPA SEBO vacuums, all included. Green, kid- and pet-safe products are the default on every visit, not an upgrade you pay extra for.

Are your cleaners employees?

Yes. Everyone who enters your home is a background-checked W-2 employee of Happy Maids — not a subcontractor and not gig labor. The company is bonded and insured.

What happens if something is not cleaned correctly?

Tell us and we come back and re-clean that area at no charge. That is the 100% Cleaning Guarantee — we would rather hear about it than have you quietly not book again.
